Illegal Immigrants Tell Border Agents "Obama Said It Was OK To Come"

Sep 5, 2016

San Diego’s KUSI ran a special report recently on the border crisis facing America. Reporter Dan Plante spent the day on the border and came back with a stunning report that first aired on August 17th. Dan says 9 out of 10 illegals are released back on the streets of San Diego. Dan told viewers even if thousands of agents were hired and every illegal was captured, the policy from the top is letting them go as fast as they are caught. Chris Harris from the National Border Patrol Council told Dan when we ask people why they are coming here the answer is invariably the same. “And it’s not the president, they actually say Obama said it was OK to come. So there’s a belief that they will remain. And the belief is true.” — What an amazing report. Obama is flooding the country with illegals before he leaves office.

Census: Record 42.4M immigrants, 23% of school kids, Muslims biggest jump

By PAUL BEDARD • 10/4/16 10:26 AM

At 42.4 million, there are now more immigrants, legal and illegal, in America than ever before, fueled by a massive flood from Muslim nations, and the growing numbers are substantially impacting public services like public schools, according to a weighty new analysis of Census Bureau data.

One impact of note: There are 10.9 million students from immigrant households in public schools, accounting for 23 percent of all public school students, according to the Center for Immigration Studies.

And while the doors remain open on the U.S.-Mexico border, the biggest percentage increases in immigration are all from largely Muslim nations, a fact that has been drawn into the presidential election.

According to CIS authors Steven A. Camarota, director of research, and Karen Zeigler, a demographer: "The sending countries with the largest percentage increases in immigrants living in the United States from 2010 to 2014 were Saudi Arabia (up 93 percent), Bangladesh (up 37 percent), Iraq (up 36 percent), Egypt (up 25 percent), and Pakistan, India, and Ethiopia (each up 24 percent)."

The report breaks down the Census immigration reports of the last two years to determine where the legal and illegal immigrants are from, where they live, what they do, how much they make, their education and how births are adding to the population.

Their full report can be seen here. Their conclusion is sweeping in impact. They wrote:

The latest data collected by the Census Bureau shows that 18.7 million immigrants arrived in the country from 2000 to 2014. Just between 2010 and 2014, 5.6 million immigrant arrived in the United States. The more than one million immigrants settling in the country each year have a very significant effect on many areas of American life. New immigration plus births to immigrants added more than eight million people to the U.S. population between 2010 and 2014, accounting for the overwhelming majority of population growth. Immigrants account for more than one in eight U.S. residents. Children from immigrant households now account for nearly one in four public school students, almost one-third of children in poverty, and one-third without health insurance, creating enormous challenges for the nation’s schools, health care system, and physical infrastructure. The large share of immigrants who arrive as adults with relatively few years of schooling is the primary reason so many live in poverty, use welfare programs, and lack health insurance.

The key highlights from the report:

— The nation’s 42.4 million immigrants (legal and illegal) in 2014 is the highest number ever in American history. The 13.3 percent of the nation’s population comprised of immigrants in 2014 is the highest percentage in 94 years.

— States with the largest percentage increases in the number of immigrants from 2010 to 2014 were North Dakota (up 45 percent), Wyoming (up 42 percent), Montana (up 19 percent), Kentucky (up 15 percent), New Hampshire (up 14 percent), and Minnesota and West Virginia (both up 13 percent).

— In 2014, 49 percent of maids, 47 percent of taxi drivers and chauffeurs, 33 percent of butchers and meat processors, and 35 percent of construction laborers were foreign-born.

— Almost one in three children (under age 18 ) in poverty have immigrant fathers.

— There are 64 public school students per 100 immigrant households, compared to 38 for native households. Because immigrant households tend to be poorer, immigration often increases school enrollment without a corresponding increase in the local tax base.

Medicare Paid $9.3 Million in Benefits to Illegal Immigrants

Medicare Paid $9.3 Million in Benefits to Illegal Immigrants

Agency paid out over 14,500 claims to nearly 500 illegal immigrants

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services paid $9.3 million in benefits to illegal immigrants in 2013 and 2014, according to an audit from the agency’s inspector general.

“Medicare benefits are generally allowable when rendered to a beneficiary whom the Social Security Administration has determined to be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national,” the audit explains. “Medicare does not pay for services rendered to beneficiaries who are unlawfully present on the date of service.”

Laws governing the agency require it to ensure that payments for Medicare services are not made to individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States. The agency is required to take steps to prevent improper payments from occurring and recoup improper payments if they are made.

“[The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services] had policies and procedures to ensure that payments were not made for Medicare services rendered to unlawfully present beneficiaries in accordance with Federal requirements, but it did not always follow those policies and procedures,” the audit said.

The agency is able to determine whether or not beneficiaries are lawfully present by obtaining information from the Social Security Administration.

“When CMS’s data systems did not indicate until after a claim had been processed that a beneficiary was unlawfully present, CMS had policies and procedures to detect and recoup payment for Medicare services, but it did not follow them,” the audit said.

The audit found that in 2013 and 2014, the agency paid out 14,530 claims totaling $9,267,392 in Medicare payments for 481 illegal immigrants.

“When Medicare has paid health care providers for services rendered to beneficiaries who are subsequently determined to have been unlawfully present at the time of services, Medicare requirements state that those improper payments should be recouped,” the audit states.

Andy Slavitt, acting administrator at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said that the agency will attempt to recoup the payments.

“CMS is committed to making sure that improper payments are not made for health care services provided to unlawfully present beneficiaries,” Slavitt said. “CMS will review the overpayments referred by [inspector general] and identify overpayments greater than or equal to $1,000.”

“CMS will attempt to recoup these overpayments,” he said. “At the conclusion of this collection effort, CMS will perform a cost-benefit analysis to determine if CMS should pursue similarly situated overpayments in the future.”

Report: Ineligible Aliens Voted in Philadelphia in Recent Years

Report: Ineligible Aliens Voted in Philadelphia in Recent Years

Dozens have cast ballots in recent elections

Dozens of ineligible aliens who have been removed from the voter rolls in the city of Philadelphia, Pa., have cast ballots in recent elections, according to a new report from an election watchdog group.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation, an Indiana-based nonprofit that litigates to protect election integrity, released a report on Tuesday detailing voter rolls in Philadelphia. The information was collected from public records requests made through the National Voter Registration Act.

The group found that from 2013 to 2015, 86 registrations were cancelled in Philadelphia because the registrant was not a United States citizen. Of the cancelled registrants, 40 aliens from the city have voted in at least one election, the report stated.

“The report only details aliens who requested to be removed from the rolls,” PILF said. “No procedure exists to systematically scan voter rolls to detect aliens and election officials do not use data from the federal SAVE (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) database to scan for illegal registrations by non-citizens.”

The group also discovered thousands of felons remain on the voter rolls despite having to be removed once incarcerated.
“This means that poll books listing eligible voters will contain the names of ineligible registrants in the November election,” the group stated. “By law, lists of eligible voters are to be kept accurate and current—they must only contain eligible voters.”

The Public Interest Legal Foundation sued the city of Philadelphia in April for refusing to provide information on non-citizen voters. The number of registered voters within the city have for years nearly exceeded the number who are eligible to vote.
“Clean rolls are the most important ingredient for clean elections,” said J. Christian Adams, president and general counsel of the Public Interest Legal Foundation. “This report shows that voter fraud exists in Philadelphia and federal and state law enforcement officials should enforce the law. Otherwise voter fraud will be encouraged.”

Adams testified in front of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives State Government Committee on Tuesday detailing his findings.

The Philadelphia City Commissioners did not return a request for comment on its voter rolls by press time.

The Philadelphia report comes on the heels of a report from the group that found thousands of ineligible aliens on voter rolls within the state of Virginia.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation found 1,046 aliens who were illegally registered to vote out of the small sample of eight Virginia counties who responded to their public records requests.

“The problem is most certainly exponentially worse because we have no data regarding aliens on the registration rolls for the other 125 Virginia localities,” the group said. “Even in this small sample, when the voting history of this small sample of alien registrants is examined, nearly 200 verified ballots were cast before they were removed from the rolls. Each one of them is likely a felony.”
